Jackson Booth is one of our Roasters/Baristas. Jackson just received his Master Roaster Certification. He is the second Dunn Brothers – Bemidji roaster to receive the highest award roaster certification. To earn the certification Jackson had to complete 100 hours of roasting, evaluate 16 different coffees, take several coffee knowledge tests and hold 12 educational sessions with customers. Jackson will be attending Concordia College this Fall with an eye to eventually become an International Coffee Buyer!

Our roasters are certified as Master Roasters. They have to have over 100 hours of roasting, hold 12 educational sessions with customers, evaluate and cup 18 coffees and pass several coffee knowledge tests.

We will roast and sell only the freshest and highest quality coffee and coffee beans available. We will not compromise on quality.

Freshness Counts! – We roast our beans daily and brew them in house if not sold fresh within 4 days.

We will continuously strive to educate our customers about how to enjoy coffee and the coffee experience and in doing so develop loyal, satisfied customers.

We believe in offering our customers exceptional coffees while rewarding the farmer, protecting the environment, and bettering our communities. To put those words into action, we partner with the most respected certifiers of sustainably grown coffee in the world including Fair Trade USA, and Rainforest Alliance. We also visit many of the farms where we purchase coffee and verify first hand that farmers are adhering to sustainable farming practices that will protect the environment while producing the quality coffees we demand.  We believe that when our customers ask, “Where did the coffee come from?” and “How was it produced?” we should have confidence in our answer.

Our goal is to offer 100% certified or independently verified sustainably produced coffees. We are committed to rewarding the skills of responsible coffee producers and continuing to bring you the high quality coffees you have come to expect.

World Coffee Research
In addition, we have recently partnered with World Coffee Research (WCR), a collaborative research and development program of the global coffee industry, committed to the mission of growing, protecting and enhancing the supplies of quality coffee, while improving the livelihoods of the families who produce it. The program is driven by the global coffee industry, guided by producers and executed by coffee scientists from around the world.

We will provide a comfortable and clean atmosphere where customers feel this is their “place”.

For the ninth straight year Dunn Brothers received the “Bemidji Community Gives” Award for donating over two percent of their profits to the community in the form of products, services or cash. The Plaque is from Governor Dayton!

Loop the Lakes Festival- Over 6,500 people participated in the Community Bike ride around beautiful Lake Bemidji. Dunn Brothers provided free “fuel” at the start and finish line with coffee and hot chocolate. This 17-mile ride featured food, music and activities at rest stations along the way

The Bemidji Rotary Club volunteers were hard at work building a playground at the Bemidji Water Front! Dunn Brothers provided coffee for the volunteers for five mornings! Thank you to the Rotary Club for all of your hard work!

We will contribute positively to our community and support efforts to improve the life of children in coffee producing countries.

“The Coffee Cookbook” was written with the coffee lover in mind! The recipes range from simple to more sophisticated – from hearty main dishes to desserts and after dinner drinks. “The Coffee Cookbook” is more than just recipes, however. Special sections on cooking with coffee, selecting beans and brewing the perfect cup are also included. If you like coffee you will love this cookbook!

100 percent of the profits from this book go to “Coffee Kids”. Coffee Kids in an international non-profit organization established to improve the quality of life for children and families who live in coffee growing communities around the world. We wanted to give something back and are partnering with “Coffee Kids” to try and do so.
